...

Hello i'm damn lazy to tag both of you...
MICHELLE LEE, what are you teaching these ppl???

Y did LP and Peng TALK ABOUT DYING??!!!
Pls arh take care until i return to Singapore see you one more time than you guys can die in whichever way you want!!!! I haven't had enough yet..

ITS NOT A TABOO TOPIC,
but it comes naturally so why do you need to plan it?
I just read a distant friend's blog which talked about another death.
After reading that i broke down...
All the while that i've been here,
i've been talking about my Grandma.
I MISS HER NOW!
And she's 88 this year, thoughts of God wanting to bring her to paradise has invaded my brains.
Is this His way of preparing me?

God is abundance with grace and blessings!

Yea i told you i had new Hong Kong friends,
i thank God for His blessings...
I managed to have an eventful Saturday.
My very first trip like out out!
So we decided to head out to Half Moon Bay State Beach.
HWA HWA HWA the scenery is breath-taking!spot the mischievous thing who scattered all of these on the floor when we got back from the beach, thankfully those weren't ours...There, my new friends!
meet David, Elmer you've met and Fion :)This photo was too overexposed, so i changed it to black and white,
as you can tell i was taking a photo before the tide came in...
I was soaked to my ass,
by the way, the water was freezing cold and the winds were strong!!!!and ya freezing and cold, i decided to try taking a 2nd time..HAHAHA
This is not a very good photo, but this shows how scenic the entire place was,
I realised there were ppl surf boarding on the other end!!
Imagine, half naked, surfing in icy water, no thanks for me :)
And we just had to stay for sunset,
was really cloudy though, but this is as best a shot i could get.
We decided to head to downtown San Francisco for dinner at ABC restaurant (Hong Kong Cuisine).
By the way my stomach was growling since we met...
And yea i was famished...
And i got the opportunity to travel on the most scenic highway North 1.
I heard from David(the driver) that Highway 9 is also not that bad!
I should rent a car one day and drive through this highway all the way to the golden gate bridge.
Sorry guys no photo gives justice to what you see, on the left side is the sea, on the ride is the cliffs. You've got to see it to believe it!!
Mine- Dry Brisket Beef Noodle
Fion's - Fried Kway Tiao
David's - Chi Chow something i really don't know what its called, but its like hor fun with soup and fish balls, meat balls and prawns...
Elmer's - Fried Rice and i'm not sure with what... i think i missed fried rice seriously!

Yea and today (Sunday),
i went to vist abundant/life/christian/fellowship.
It was good, i liked the speaker,
but he is just a guest speaker,
the place was really diverse in the ethnic groups.
Blacks i think were the dominant majority of the lot,
and i really wanted to know how it felt worshipping with them.
And guess what? Their worship songs have very similar ones to what we sing back home at BBPC and know what? It really didn't sound as dreary as ours!
And it made me realised how monotonous we are.
The way they sing yes lord and i can't remember whats the other titles,
the harmony was slightly different and they can repeat the chorus and verses like 4, 5 times.
AND they can change key like 4 TIMES!!
Go figure...
I've learnt today that the church that grows in numbers and is favoured by God is when every single member respects the pastor. NOW NOT WORSHIP, but give him our utmost respect, for he is a living vessel for the Lord!

And its much nearer than open door church, highly consider going to this...

2nd update in a day!

I forgot i can laugh this hard!
Tonight was my first night out with friends.
I EMPHASIZE FIRST!
ok but i came home about 11:15pm...
I'm a good girl now :)

So anyways, got to know these friends from another friend,
they are from Hong Kong by the way.
He mentioned coming to Singapore before
and eating ice-cream on a stick,
like those selling ice-cream uncle you see in carparks and all...
HAHAHHA (seriously i'm laughing even before i tell you, its damn funny)
then he said he love the "lao-leen" flavoured one (Canotonese for durian)
ha and ya, he said it was really good,
everytime he came to Singapore he will
go and find this uncle.
Then he asked me, is he very famous??
I was like huh? He said everywhere he went he would always see this old man...
AHHAHAHAH i almost died laughing seriously!!
Damn cute i tell you, ok i've to end it here, before i start my gas of laughter again!

And my phones still not in operation false alarm,
till it really comes on i'll let you know again

Fried rice..

I was wondering why everyone kept talking about fried rice,
and i realised oh, i haven't even uploaded the pics yet..
I was dreaming that i actually updated my blog,
Shucks, reality vs virtuality. I can't tell the difference!!

Mayb once a week i'll share a random fact or two,
ever since reaching here...

Fact number 1:
I've been farting like crazy,
Dad gave me an insane answer
"Mayb its the water you are drinking"
erm well it started ever since i was on the plane all the way till today.
Don't worry its just a lot of gas,
I haven't been constipated since i got here,
got way to detox, i can forget about getting a detox message already :)

Fact number 2:
Strawberries,
the nxt time you mention this,
it will only remind me of California.
LOVE LOVE LOVE the strawberries here.
Its a luxuary back home that mum would buy strawberries.
I probably get to eat every once a yr or two.
Hardly got to eat them, and they were sour.

Coincidently, i bought shower cream and moisturiser in strawberry flavour frm Thailand. I thought i should bring it over and use finish it, cause it might spoil if i kept it home for 4 yrs. Not only that i wanted to give someone the leave in hair conditioner in strawberry flavour too which i forgot and i brought it over as well. So i smell of strawberry everyday.Don't worry ppl i'm eating well, those apples are called golden apples,
the skin is yellow in colour, like golden apples :)
Sweeeet

Yesterday i decided i should just go out and finally Jacqueline is free.
She's my Hong Kong friend, so we decided to hang out!
I went over to her host home,
now i know y she like it there,
the host is called Mary and she's super nice!
There's this huge golden retriever thats 16 yrs old and is adorable...
*mental note to self, i'm moving out soon!!!
So after that we headed to Downtown Palo Alto, much more atas than my Downtown Mountain View but i think its more cultured than Mountain View as well, more things to see and do.
First up lunch at Zao noodle bar :)
Ordered and shared this. Don't be fooled, its a clear soup,
but my dear new friend caught me perspiring buckets,
water moustache and all hahaha!
I so needed something to cool down...
mochi!!! hahaha just what i was craving for.
Btw, the manager or some sort was quite hot,
i'm pretty sure i'll visit this place again...
went into a Harry-Potter-like bookstore... you had to climb a long ladder(not in pic) to reach to those up on the ceiling... I think those books were collectors item...
Spotted J and D and J's mum at Borders,
i've got quite a steal...
Got these for under 10USD. wanted to know a little more about Frisco
and well the other 2 is really quite obvious...
Oh yes about fried rice,
i did my own last night after i came home from dinner...
The rice i think is briyani rice,
is the long grained type...
But nontheless delicious :)
OK LA i cheated again its from a frozen packet..
But like i said, there's no soy sauce here,
and she doesn't lemme touch her stuff,
so its best my hands get stuck to my own food...
I'd love to play in the kitchen if i'm allowed to...
And i decided to throw in the last of my Mango chicken sausage in as well...

Yep and thanks to Mr Elmer Tan who flew my aeroplane and didn't answer my call,
i'm quite free now...
OH YA OH YA, loves, my Singapore Handphone will be working tonight onwards.
it will be kept till when my contract ends in i think July :)

Lets look right at things, rather than left...

Wind is common here around the Bay area,
wind playing with your hair,
making the wind chimes play harmoniously,
I would have stood on the streets for a whole half an hour if i had to,
if the wind didn't stop blowing, or if i was alone just to listen.
You see the cherry blossom leaves littering the pavewalks with the little pink and white leaves all over the ground or flown into the entrances of shops.

Whats there not to like?
My PSP have been put aside,
to rock me to sleep at night,
no longer do i bring it out and put it on while walking.
Instead of having to wade in self-pity at home all the time,
i deceided to go out on my own little adventure today to Safeway
(its a huge grocery store, like carrefour)
You know what i realised?
I've been a brat back home in Singapore,
complaining when i need to walk to the MRT station or refusing to go down to the hawker to get my lunch/dinner.
I've been walking almost more than an hour to and back from my destination now.
HAHA and i quite enjoy it.

So all you back home, just a small reminder from me,
a car is a privilege, don't make use of it, unless really needed.
Whats there to be jealous or envious about?
I mean my dad gave me the freedom to choose whether or now i wanted one,
but now i've made up my mind not to have it.
Studying is my priority,
the car would only be a luxurious sedan that drives my ass to and fro from shopping malls to shopping malls, therefore i decided that NO i would walk.. Unless i see a rising need for it.
Please do not take it for granted!

I walked across a 4 lane, 2-way road
walked across the highway.
If you wanna check out how far a distance i went,
go google map if your interested,
go to USA map, california San Francisco (cause there's alot of same name streets around)
Type whisman station to shoreline,
thats like 2 stations away and a 5 min walk by train.
but not wanting to be a mountain tortoise,
or to get lost nxt time,
i drew my own map and walked,
(with a lot of help from passerbys :) )
I met an argentinian couple,
Peter and Sabrina, they live like on the nxt street and they were really nice!
And that little sentence "God Bless"
meant alot to me, i really needed it! (and that i was walking alone)

Hardly took any photos,
i was either busy figuring my way out or carrying all my groceries.
Oh and i haven't updated you about the subjects i'm taking this sem.
Well i've registered for math-elemantry statistics and eng College writing plus PE, some cardio, sculpting class, time to loose some weight and shape up those buns...
I feel much better now, and yes i still miss all of you, but definitely handling it better...
Mann you'll be very happy, i drink up lots these days!
I think mayb i might be coming down with a flu,
pray hard!!!

LOVE ALL...

Whats Up, When I'm UP??

Hey all,
so what have i been doing this week?
Well nothing... I've been staying home.
But i guess today is just different.

Just read through what i wrote,
damn whats up with me? That doesn't sound like me...
I'm back, up and all cheery, i had enough of whining and moaning :)

So i decided i should take a few photos today,
since i'm home and obviously very free!

i was wahjong-ing with Peng and June.
(Peng whats up? i don't know what made you flare, if it was me i'm sorry, but i was just having some fun...If it wasn't fun-ny, I AM REALLY SORRY)

Then i decided to give my gastric a little break,
pass few days my dear landlady, cooked at 9pm
and really i felt it yesterday,
it made tons of noise and i visited the toilet twice.
So its those symptoms again...
WHO SAID I CAN'T COOK? I DID!!! well just to heat these up, my landlady cooked this 2 days ago :plooky looky, i even baked my own fish fillets :)
well they were from a frozen packet actually HAHAHA.
I love fooling with you guys...
while it was still in the oven, i decided to take a picture of the house, you've seen my room, so i took the downstairs...Most importantly is the kitchen,
on the right (not in pic, is more cabinets and a refrigerator)then on the left, is a table and this shelf full of plates and bowls and her family portraits.
then further left is a door leading to...garage, i hardly ever open this door, unless me and landlady going somewhere with the car...
the living room, which looks warm and cosy?
Don't be deceived, the max hours i'll sit here is like 2hours,
then my ass will all freeze up and i'd go back to my room,
not that my room is any warmer but i get to hide under the comforters!
on the left, is the staircase to heaven :)
my room la..
so before you enter the kitchen and right next to the living room,
is of cause the dining area...
on the right is the front door.
So the house is a little small and quaint i would call it.
Like it here, but seriously the other house i'm moving into, is much nicer...
Keep up on browsing around my blog, soon i'll update you on that.

OH OH, by the time i introduce everything to you, my fillets are gonna burnso yep my dinner tonight :)

So well, thumbs up, i have to give myself a pat on the shoulders,
would i have whipped up my own meal at home? Hell NO!
Its actually quite fun :)
I do wanna start cooking or whipping up my own meals!

To cheer myself up,
i got myself these

I think getting all down and out now isn't appropriate,
i know problems will surface later, so i'm gonna take these chill pills and chill out before any more tensions start to rise...
Anyway God's here and GOOD all the time. AMEN?

Time it...

April 6th feels like a year away...
December feels like dinosaur years away...
YOU feel like a gazillion light years away...

MAN I NEED TO get my butt MOOOVING!!

Things just aren't the same here...

i bought myself a new friend
His name is Trunko, another one of the uglydolls... i love uglydolls...

Visited a church today, was suppose to go to first presbytherian but i ended up here,
Open door Church, not bad, but nobody came up to us, before or after the service which is weird and you can hardly find the usherers..
Saw a huge ass car,

and bought some gifts for you ppl...
will send them back when i accumulate a box : )

randomly, Daiyan feels like saying something but finds it pointless to begin with...
I wish school started early....

A hungry woman is never NICE

Well i really really wanted to complain,
oh well i'd to some of you...
But God's good all the time, i know he'll provide.

Seriously i wanna get out of here fast,
its cold, the heater is always turned low, or on hold, or mayb never even switched on, i don't know
I'm always stuck alone at home,
nobody to complain, quarrel, let alone talk to
and yes food, she didn't teach me to touch any of her cooking stuff,
so basically i'm starved...
ME STARVING??? How possible, so i went to dable with the microwave,
and guess what i got last night? A ROCK HARD PIZZA!!!
and an empty stomach, sigh...
This is my friend Deirdre(Di) from Swaziland (go look that up)
i think most of you don't know where that is ;)
i finally got to meet her in school, she doesn't have a phone,
so it was tough e-mailing and trying to meet, which didn't happen...
She and her skittles..
And i watched Watchemen at the cinema too.
LOVE the salted popcorn here :):):)
its like eating a packet of salt,
what i not like is there's this free flow dispenser of butter,
i call that dispenser of oil... Totally not good and they have extra salt that you can add.
IMAGINE, me so in love with salt, without any of those i already think its super salty...

And since i had no dinner,
i started out first with cooking rice and chicken,
had that for 2 nights, that was when i decided to have the pizza i didn't actually have...
so there, japanese rice plus my uncooked chicken,
There with barbeque sauce, east meets west meal..hahaha but its good and fast!

Then breakfast everyday is my dose of honey bunches of oat, which me LOVES!
and or crushed wheat bread with ham and a dose of strawberries.
And juice look at what i did!!!
Promagranate and blueberry juice, with my favourite Californian strawberry.
Strawberries here cost like only 4USD and its organic, so its like 6sing dollars for like a box...

Aside from all of these, i miss these guys REALLY MUCH!!
thanks for the little joy booklet they put together for me,
another one of those things i have to open every so once in a while :)
Here's one of those pages,
The few of the crazy stuff we do!! and by the way, we are wearing clothes!

GIRLS BRACE YOURSELVES

I think all my girlfriends are just waiting for this post...
Say miss me miss me, actually all just wanna know bout shopping lor...
:( who cares bout whether you (I) am doing well anot..

So on Sunday i was churchsick, wanted to attend one,
but i totally have no idea how to get around...
so i waited for my landlady to wake up, while i'd my QT and worship at home.
Washed up and still waited for her...

Then we went to a farmer's market, it is said to promote local famers and people to start growing their own vegetables. It is also to promote slow food, where ppl eat healthier organic food, rather than fast food on the GO! The californian strawberries are SEWEEEETTTTT! I bought like a spinach BANANA something juice, my gosh the best! Bought some biscuitti and i'm gonna try artichokes! It's a veggi.

Than after that she brought me round downtown Palo Alto and Standford University and i went to Standford Shopping Centre and.... i found this, Nurul, Soph, Vane, Michelle, June, Jamie and Joce and all you other girls are gonna be so jealous. Check this out.

SOPH, we need to learn this and mayb start up a business in Sing, its really popular now, here in America! Of coz looking at it, wasn't enough for this foodie, so we bought a pack of 2 home!!!
Top is some Irish cupcake - today (US time which is 1 day late 17th March Tuesday) is St Patrick's Day.
Bottom is mine which is some dark chocolate belgiem cupcake WHICH IS LIKE REALLY GOOD
look at this, nxt time Soph and Vane, we shldn't put ugly Icing sugar, but some cream thing like this!!
Then after that we went to get me an umbrella and we went to a grocer, WOW, i was spoilt for choice..looks like i wouldn't go too hungry...

So nxt day, i planned a day out with my 2 new International friends one from Singapore and the other from Hong Kong. Namely Elmer and Jacqueline.
and i introduced to them my San Bei Ji!
And Elmer will be all you girls best friend, cause he brought me to Greatmall,
AND I SPENT LIKE what 250USD THERE!!!
Its like a huge place, i think you need 2 or 3 days to comb finish everything
and its all like factory outlet and super cheap!
And both him and Jac were like spurring me on to buy some more....

There the scenery damn nice right? To have new friends is also very nice :)
So as you can see we are outside, the mall was so exciting i forgot to take any photos...
and there's brands like VS, Guess, Levi's, H & M, Famous Footwear, Tommy, Old Navy, GAP and everything is like from 5-40USD. Imagine 40 USD for Guess jeans!!!
I had to stop myself! My loot!!! I am a proud owner...

On a side note, i just realised that on the light rail and the bus you could hang your bicycles like this, how interesting!!Also, silly me was squatting in the bathtub under the tap thing sticking out, i forgot about it and stood up, scratching my waist DEEP DEEP and it hurts after like what 5 minutes and i realised i need to put it under running water and tis is how disgusting it looks now.
