so where did i go?

the past 3 days have been eventful!

spent Friday till Monday at NUS.
i already told myself no matter what,
I'll never be in that campus,
firstly its so big
and after my 3 days stint there I just don't like it.
But i must say,
being in a University and stayin in Hall is quite Hips and Happening!

SO yes,
for 3 days i was known as Diane,
so that they can call me and i looked after
the All American Boys Chorus,
THE BOYS WERE ULTRA CUTE!
distinctively these are some that i can remember
One who came up to us to talk to us
and told us he bought his mum a necklace,
(if i had a son, i want him to pick something for me too, so sweet!)
Then there is one ABC who kept trying to perfect his
"Wo hen Shuai"
(he was chanting it during the last part of Night Safari trip)
there's this cute chubby boy named Miky (:

i probably had very little sleep,
and i attended a catholic church and met Mrs Bay (sec sch principal)
but after sending them off i just dropped dead,
went for driving and slept again,
not really refreshed yet
But i do feel more awake and MISSES them already!

those are the boys!
this special gentleman here i MUST mentioned,
although yes picture is not quite clear,
"Where's my Baby"
haha is Rachel's God-father Parco...
and i think in all the Boys' hearts and staff and ppl he met,
he really is like the father to all.
Really great heart and i am glad we crossed paths!
i didn't manage to take picutures with 2 more staffs and i'm waiting for Rachel's pictures!
thats gabe the lighting, aaron the sound guys and pierre...
and along the way i got to interact with suat huang and rachel
(i kept calling her suat hoon...)
and these will be the times i miss them all...

The All American Boys Choir

They're in town!
Come catch them later today at UCC Hall...

I am so blasting tired,
i can hardly sit up straight.
I hate dragging feets,
but i dragged my scandals,
i think they'll get worn out pretty soon.

I lost my breath just climbing up
NUS hill with a carton of can drinks.

Those who stay in halls of NUS,
pls kindly put me up for 1 night tomoro,
i doubt i can wake up at 3.30 on Monday,
mayb i shouldn't slp...

To be with you :)

Ok so MTV was playing this...

and yes i've finally found the title of this song..
daddy use to play it in the car...
i'm hooked onto this song!

Croaks... erhm..

I left house 3 times today.

3rd Driving lesson.
I did my parallel parking again,
so much better,
learned my crank course, S course and directional change.
And this ah ne, saw my car, didn't give me a 2nd look and walked back facing my car across the road, I mean i've got the shock of my life and my dear instructor just merely scolded me for not pressing the horn -_-
(ok i am a road hogger, so yes i breaked in time)
and there was this accident that left paramedics resuscitating this foreign worker,
saw another one lying but very conscious,
didn't pay much attention because i was driving and i can't help but think that my instructor is quite Kapo...
and the end of the lesson he told me i was travelling too slow...
BTW MS ZHENG here drove at 40KM/H,
thank you everybody, i'm slow poke..

up nxt went to collect my teaching materials at Halifax,
cabbed home for dinner,
to meet Swi at Queenstown,
and so i've committed myself to the musical in November
PLEASE PPL, come support:

The Promise Musical
@ UCC Hall NUS
Thursday thru Saturday
i think theres Matinee at 3.30pm and a night performance

Bring your friends and family :)

The Eye

i'm suddenly very aware of whats around,
i guess the eye is really a complex part of the human body.

i always wonder what it'll be like if i was blind...
not that i want to be,
but yea.

ahha randomising is my thing,
so anyways kyenne and me had a dip in the pool,
15 laps, i'm deproving..
Soph and vane slept right through and abandoned me :(

Anyways The Dark Knight must have been one of the best movie i've watched so far...
no disappointing endings...

Sun:Church 830-depends
Work 11-8pm

There you have it, Daiyan's week in a glance,
because she spends uncontrollably :)
(YES i think i'm proud of that fact)

Oh and i had my 2nd driving lesson today.
I called Michelle and told her how nervous i was.
But things were good.
I thought i wouldn't stall but i did twice.
Once in the circuit and another at the RED LIGHT just before turning.
I had a panick attack, cause i stopped and was at neutral gear
and the light like suddenly turned red
and apparantly there wasn't that green colour arrow and
yours truely was in the middle of a junction HAHAHA!
So parallel parking was fine,
only that your arms and legs hurt after parking and reversing
countless amounts of time...
Otherwise it was smooth sailing.
I think i'm a safe driver, other than the fact that i need more practise.

SO photos yall This was taken on eve of Vane's bday and my 2nd family.
at the stroke of midnight we did this below her block!
attempted sparkles to light up but failed ha and
we created damn alot of smoke.
Just nice when we left the place,
the police came in. Tell me whether we were just lucky or just TOO BLESSED!
and then the nxt day she held a party at the treetop with gd food.
i went there late :(

and who said that was the end to all these happy moments?!
theres more on the way...
Nxt up Smelly monkey Soph's bday
(haiz we 3 girls are now broke as you can tell
and i think I need to live on grass now)
so the day before we went to dig out GIFTS for soph and this are her loot!
and Vane's new glasses!
I'm the birthday queen wanna-be
there's another photo i'm damn tempted to put up
but its really gross and i think i'll nv get married if i ever show that photo
yea its set as my display pic currently HAHA!
and so Soph's bday was just as exciting,
this time it was a surprise at 12am AT SENTOSA!
yes planned by Mr Rat...
and yes i feel so happy for my smelly monkey la..
so in order to save some money,
me vane and reu actually met way earlier,
bought the remaining presents
I MUST MENTION : ATE FROLICK
before making our way to Sentosa,
and when we reached there,
we wrote her our msges and did the placemat thing
it was bout 930 and Reu left.
so me and Vane had all the time
to you're right be a lil self obsessed and played with my camera.
around 1130 we started to decorate

and so just for her and her alone,
with lots of love frm us,
we lay in wait in a big pool of red ants (unknowingly)
to surprise her,
just as we decided to change place,
they arrived and yes we appeared.
And loves got a shock, awww...

I love Happy Endings...

And Jamie i hope to see you soon!
Ivan, we'll meet soon.
Also i feel guilty bout something too,
if You ever see this,
i'm gonna have to say i'm not sorry for what i've done.
i don't know what you've heard and i'm not gonna care,
just wanna let you know
once a friend always a friend.
But i guess you're still angry and require me to explain myself.
But through this i've learnt not to defend myself in any way.
I really do miss the friendship we once had!

Guess whos back, back again!

Day 1

Daiyan's back, tell a friend! Be prepared for a long post.

My advantures in Thailand are aplenty.
Firstly i spent 5amazing days there with 2 girlfriends...
Ah ne ne (Vanessa) and Soap Sim(Sophia)!
I love them aplenty, even after reaching Singapore we had our adventures extended.

So lets start,
with both ah ne and Soap sick even before leaving Sing,
thanks to beng who drove us to the airport and having his own adventure locating my house!
(He sacrificed slping btw and i couldn't slp either)
Also i've decided to tell you the Do's and Don'ts in Thailand and also some tips along the way.
thats us before flight and having BK breakfast
thats us on our super budget plane that cost us $150 to and fro plus insurance and airport tax.
our seats were all cramped up but thank God for the smooth flight,
and i kinda love and miss the air ride :) see the pweetty clouds?! and of coz i was amazed by this humongous snowflake imprinted onto the outside glass of our window! you can't really see it slightly faint.so upon arrival at the airport, we decided it safer to book a taxi from the airport service.
*attention all travellers to Thailand, pls do not be cheated...
we realised on our way back to Singapore that the airport service ppl did cheat us!
I shall elaborate more on this when i reach day 5,
and so the 3 of us paid 1000 Baht for this ride equivalent to 41 SGD
And so we were sent to Baiyoke Boutique Hotel
*if you're on a budget travel this is the place for you
if you are there on a luxurious holiday mayb you'd like to try
Baiyoke Sky or Baiyoke Suite all in the heart of shopping haeven and the heart of Prathumwan.
So yea and those blokes in the front, took the same budget air as we did!
So this is the Deluxe triplet room.
Our toilet, they provide toothbrush toothpaste and all that service!
The service is really good, they had room service,
mini fridge and laundry service.
Room is really meant for 3, everything in here is in three.
MOST commandable and oh ya they have like complimentary bottled water in the fridge.
As compared to the Trader's hotel in Muar,
this budget hotel's service is like 3 times better, SERIOUSLY!
The beds has this "sai cloth" as how ah ne and soap would call it and a reptile skinned cushion
Which both of them threw on the floor every night except me!
Cushion used to hug and i just left the cloth at the end of my bed...
Soap said "so colouring the entire room pink and throwing some sai cloth and sai cushion on the beds makes it a boutique hotel?"
For me, i just liked it la...
So after settling into our cosy Room 719,
we decided to order room service, the soups and Fried Rice, real bad
*attention don't order neither of the above
soup tasted ultra milky for Cream of Corn
the onion soup was literally onion soup!
Fried rice, the rice tasted like porridge rice!
and then we headed out onto the streets,
we saw lots of interesting stuff, check out the 20XL sized shirt,
3 of us could wear it and still have lots of room in between!
i love the 3rd photo ALOT,
the best i've taken the entire trip, shadows and all!
4th pic another one of those shots i like.
5th pic was inspired by Yingen, those were stalls we saw along the streets outside our hotel
while walking towards Platinum Mall.

We shopped tons,
even forgetting dinner, which we settled later at Indra Square just infront of our Hotel
at KFC, food was just ok, i preferred Singapore's KFC though.
It rained while we were shopping at Platinum
therefore lots of "ziap sai" was on the floor,
and becoz all of us wore slippers we slashed "ziap sais" on our legs which we looked damn it dirty and horrible. Went to pharmacy which was almost closing to settle shampoo, soap, wet tissues and necessities before eating...
We went back washed our legs,
paraded our buys on camera, of most which is in ah ne's camera
(she promise to send me later today)
and after KFC, we decided to raid 7-11 for some food in case we ever forgot to eat dinner
and didn't want the disgusting Room Service again...
Ha and we had some funny pick up chats from the 7-11 boys...

Day 2
We woke up early bathed and went down for hotel's breakfast.

All i can say is hotel breakfast SUCKED!
i probably just ate sausages and toast every morning.
we had almost the same breakfast throughout the 5days.
Soph ate porridge everyday and Ah ne ate this like fishball soup thing.
Just to save money every morning.

Oh btw, that toy is called Huga, (short for Huga-Shaga)
thats a gift for Beng la...
And no, for some odd optical illusion
the photo wasn't taken by anyone but me, i was facing the mirror.

We headed for Platinum mall to finish up our shopping there.
had lunch at the food court upstairs,
they really had good food for reasonable prices,
apparantly almost every table had this drink,
its just normal mineral water. I guess gassy drinks don't appeal to the ppl there.

We shopped like crazy that day and were so tired!
we went to Big C just like around 7 plus 8 to find this brand called Boots
which sold like shampoo, body bath, scrub, facial wash and other toileteries
but no they didn't have it in their supermarket,
but we bought some nail polishes and other misc food stuff.
we reached back hotel and ate our cup noodles frm yesterdays' buy at 7-11.
i had spicy beef noodles which actually had real MEAT inside! YUMMY!
and ah nene did french manicure for both me and soap.
and i realised every night when we bathe, the water was quite dirty, you'd really be surprise the air there is really dirty, alot of locals wear masks.

Day 3
i think we skipped breakfast becoz we woke up late
and ate cup noodles again
this time i had some weird Japanese dry noodle which tasted really weird...
Oh btw, at this point of time, i've shockingly spent almost all of my money already
(i had 3000 Baht in the safe which i took out)
and so decided to change some more, using the 150 SGD i brought there...
we headed for Baiyoke Sky

we found this machine before changing money
which created gold and silver medals with our face imprinted on it
really cool and we took 3 grp pics, one for each of us and 3 individual shots which i'll post up on the last day.
yup those were my pwetty nails done by ah nene, and we took a shutter bus down to Siam area.
we headed to MBK
*attention again, that place is over-rated.
they renovated since the last time i was there,
hardly recognisable and the things there are ULTRA EXPENSIVE. We wanted to get crocs but didn't managed to, but we bought croc accessories and food stuff home. We got our most prized-possession of "Long champion" bags (:

A MOST DEPRESSING INCIDENT HAPPENED
my DSLR dropped in the toilet from the hanger at the back of the door onto my head
(DARN IT PAINFUL)
so now the lens is KOYAK!
I was ultra depressed that day

can't be fixed although we were just in front of the Canon service centre,
becoz i was coming back to Singapore in less than 5 days.
so we headed for this marche-look-alike food centre which was quite expensive
and ate there, food was not that bad though
the hummus was the last thing i took with my old lens before it died!
And we headed to Suan Lum Night bazaar, where i totally cleared my Bahts
and found Boots at MBK and we ate Room service for dinner,
which was much better than before,
ordering Phad Thai (fried kuay tiao) and Club sandwich and Fried banana ice cream
i skipped dinner, only tasted the stuff and started snacking...
and cleared whatever money i had left!

Day 4
We ate our horrible breakfast and headed to Indra Square to look around.
Anyways by this day i was already having stiff shoulders, the piilow in our hotel rooms are horrible! They are too flat and the beds are as stiff as wood plus the springs really just made it really uncomfortable!
Like Platinum mostly wholesale and you could bargain... I went to withdraw money 3 times which amounted to at least 240 SGD about 6000 Baht.
Headed to Platinum to get some stuff that we didn't get and then headed back to hotel to slp and recharge before chionging at Suan Lum.
We went back to Suan Lum for round 2,
the shopping there was fantastic, lots of designer pieces.
So there was only 1 of each piece, with price slightly higher than in Plantinum which has wholesale prices. and 3 of us like kinda spent our every last cent!
I seriously controlled myself.
Then we finally ate at a nice restaurant/alfresco dining. Its like zhi char...
FOOD WAS GOOD WE ORDERED LIKE A LOT!
Fried rice X2
Mixed Veg X2
Omelette X1
some Fried Chicken X1
we couldn't finish the fried rice,
added up to about SGD 40 over.
considering the amount of food we ordered its reasonable,
although not cheap and tuk tuk back to hotel. Didn't take much photos that day was damn bloody sad bout my DSLR still.
so yes this must have been my biggest meal there, since i lost my appetite on arrival.
Don't like spicy and sour food see...
*So there were controversies and talk about Suan Lum closing down.
Not sure bout that but its a must visit place, its like Far East Shopping.
Platinum is like Bugis, where all the mass clothes are produced.
Best is to go in 3s since easier to share rooms and also buying wholesale!
Conclusion, "chai meter" doesn't work anymore
not as cheap as expected!
Bags are bloody expensive...
And really bring an empty bag there, pack as little as possible upon going to Bangkok!

DAY 5 - Final Day!
Breakfasted
and i made ah Ne Ne and Soap accompany me to buy Fred Perry shirts along the streets
just before taking a taxi to the airport.
We decided to head to the toilet before we left and found these cool toilet signs!
AND YES we asked how much was the cab fare to Airport
and the concerige said 400 BAHT
(and btw, the driver who drove us here, said he'd give us a discount if we called him to drive us back, for a fee of 900 Baht)
like what the??? obviously we didn't call him...
Ate at the airport, bought Vodka at the duty free...
Met some noisey Shanghaians who were kia su
and they tore open their duty free bags before reaching destination,
but we didn't know whether they got into trouble for that,
because all were liquids and the plastic bag was sealed for a reason!
THats my UBER huge luggage and our handcarries which were all filled up!
And my 2 best companions :) plus Ah nene's good frend...
HAHHAA ok and Soap's trusty Vivitar, i can't wait to see the developed photographs!

We sat on a newer plane back,
With more turbulance and very fast descend...
Reached singapore almost around 745pm.
Reuben was waiting for our arrival..
And this is just the start to more adventures...

*Things that i've realised?
Sophia and Vanessa - Very messy ppl
Vanessa - Don't be fooled by her small petite frame, she eats and sleeps the most
Sophia - Has some major Boob problem lol!
Myself - Cannot control my financies...sigh...

So yes these were the medals from Day 3 that i mentioned earlier.
the portraits are for their other half and silver ones are kept by us.
Needless to say my own gold one will be kept by none other than myself!

While ah nene has been worrying since the night before about losing her check in luggage in flight, we just brushed her worries off. But upon landing in Singapore,
she was right...Oh dear, she was quite Upset but alls well, she's collecting in a few hours...
as for my dear Soap, she's now resting in hospital, do pray for her. She's fine but under observation... And as for me, i still don't have appetite to eat and i can't slp!

Thanks for the patience of a long post but these are all the updates i can give.
a detailed recount of my trip to Thailand everybody.
GOOD MORNING! I'll update on other events tomoro am tired!
